Saltlick is a 1150 sqft. multi-use event space located at the Oceanfront of Virginia Beach, VA.

Contained on the ground level of an old cinderblock 2 story warehouse space, with tall 14 foot ceilings, natural light, and a large garage door for indoor/outdoor capabilities.

Honoring the industrial grime of what used to be an old mechanic shop, Saltlick Studios strikes the balance between a rustic, off the beaten path, warehouse while containing charming cleanliness, eclectic design, and diverse functionality.

Our Story

Saltlick Studios was born from a simple belief: people thrive together.

Owned and operated by a husband & wife team rooted in Virginia Beach, Saltlick began as a way to give back to the community that shapes them. We believe Virginia Beach is thirsty for spaces that are intentional, welcoming, and deeply human — places where connection isn’t forced and creativity isn’t confined.

Like the salt licks found in nature, our studio exists as a point of convergence. A place people are drawn to — not by obligation, but by genuine desire. The need to move together, create together, celebrate together, and simply be in the same room again.

We built Saltlick Studios to serve. To support local photographers, teachers, artists, small businesses, and neighbors who are building something of their own. Every gathering here — from quiet workshops to lively celebrations — is part of a larger rhythm of community care.

This space is our way of providing for and blessing the place we call home. A well to return to. A room to gather in. A reminder that connection is not a luxury — but essential for survival.

Meet your Hosts

PJ and Mallorie are a husband-and-wife team rooted in Virginia Beach, living and working by the ocean and somehow always finding themselves starting new businesses along the way. What began as a shared love for their community has grown into a handful of local ventures — and now, a space designed to bring people together in meaningful ways.
